About Domestic Healing

This website is maintained by family on behalf of Nima Nassiri, who is currently serving a sentence within the Michigan Department of Corrections.

In his own words and reflections, Nima writes about the long and often painful process of understanding his actions, living with accountability, and finding a path toward healing. His writing is not about excusing the past, but about facing it honestly — using his experience to help others avoid similar tragedies.

Path to Transformation

Diagnosed with an untreated mental illness after incarceration, Nima began a journey of therapy, self-education, and faith-based rehabilitation. His reflections offer insight into:

  • The intersection of mental health and violent behavior,
  • The need for early intervention and awareness, and
  • The possibility of transformation, even within confinement.

Through letters, essays, and journal entries, this space shares lessons learned, personal reflections, and a sincere desire to contribute something meaningful to the community, both now and in the future.

All content is written by Nima and published with permission by his family.
This platform does not seek to minimize harm, but to honor truth, promote healing, and help prevent future violence through understanding and education.
